Deborah is studying at CEU this year thanks to the supporters of the Alumni Scholarship, next|generation

In her own words:

I graduated from the University of Brasília with a BA in International Relations. Throughout my studies I was involved in volunteering and extracurricular projects with children and elders in the local community. I also interned in the field of international and domestic governmental relations in the Brazilian Parliament, the Ministry of External Relations and the Presidency.

Wishing to improve my understanding of multicultural interactions, and both the borders and bridges that national identities create, I chose CEU for my MA studies. My goal is to contribute to academic and civic engagement efforts to, with an interdisciplinary approach, assist in investigating and problematizing current issues concerning the region, such as nationalisms, xenophobia, migration and ethnic conflicts.

I am honoured and extremely grateful for the opportunity provided by the Alumni Scholarship, which is a crucial help for me to focus on my studies.
