Maisha is studying at CEU this year, thanks to the supporters of the CEU Alumni Scholarship.
In her own words:
I completed my BLAS at Maastricht University, Netherlands. My curriculum combined Economics and Development studies, therefore I was very keen on CEU’s MA Economic Policy in Global Markets program. I’m interested in the intersection of governance and economics, particularly in the context of developing Asian nations.
Growing up in a developing country with severe social and economic issues had a profound effect on my outlook. I have continuously sought to contribute to youth empowerment; I believe that enhancing young people’s civic engagement and community participation can significantly reduce many social challenges.
I want to specially thank the alumni donors for the Alumni Scholarship which enables me to make a meaningful contribution to the CEU community. This will provide me with personal growth opportunities through this truly unique experience.
