USA, Tony Kitchen (IRES '15)
After graduating from CEU, Tony has worked for Cathay Associates in Budapest and the British Consulate in San Francisco, before recently relocating to Chicago. From 2008-12, he taught English in South Korea, and then again in Slovakia before joining CEU. Previously, he worked as a freelance journalist in New York City and his home state of Michigan.
Why does he volunteer as an Alumni Chapter Leader?
Having been an expat for nearly all of my professional life, I understand the importance of reaching out and connecting with people with a common interest, as a way of creating a home away from home. That is what CEU has become for many of us. It’s important for our CEU family to stay actively engaged with each other, especially in the city where it all began.
