After studying at CEU’s Environmental Sciences and Policy Master programme in 2001-02, Anar Mehdiyev returned to Azerbaijan and co-founded one of the most active alumni chapters. Being a long-standing CEU Chapter Leader in Baku, Azerbaijan, Anar actively promotes connectivity between alumni and alumni chapters, and is a frequent CEU Alumni Reunion visitor. CEU has also shaped Anar’s career. He is managing environmental management systems in BP-Azerbaijan, a key element of Azerbaijan’s oil industry.
Why does he volunteer for CEU?
I value volunteering for CEU because it allows for meeting like-minded people, making new friends. Spending time together with alumni but also with current and prospective students is always fun, but also actually brings new ideas, knowledge and views.
