Daria Copil (ECON ’16)

November 18, 2014

Daria is from Moldova. She is studying at CEU thanks to the Alumni Scholarship, next|generation.

In her own words:

I earned a BA in Economics in 2014 from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. I participated in several case study contests, allowing me to develop my analytical skills and gain experience in developing measures to cope with strategic issues.

I recently volunteered at the “School of Friendship” summer camp, in Serbia. A charity project of the patriotic organizations “Our Serbia” and “The Serbian Code,” the camp drew 250 children from underprivileged families.

It was a unique experience and earned me the “Academic Excellence for Moldova” award from the Moldovan Government. I am proud of this achievement and will try to keep representing my country in the best possible way.

CEU will help broaden my horizons and create a background that I can use to help solve the numerous internal economic problems facing my homeland. I am very grateful to the alumni donors for this opportunity.
