
Cristina is a top banking analyst, with a passion for emerging markets and their financial and political developments.
As a managing director in equity research at Barclays, Cristina headed the Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) research teams, spending more than 15 years writing research on emerging and developed European banks at Barclays, Merrill Lynch and BNP Paribas, all of which has given her a firsthand perspective of the global financial crisis.
Cristina says her educational background has proved valuable: a first degree in Finance was complemented by an MSc in International Relations from CEU, plus an MA in Political Economy of Transition from the London School of Economics.
Cristina said her passion for emerging markets was born at and her later career success made possible by CEU, with its vibrant international community and atmosphere.
