Maad is studying at CEU this year, thanks to the supporters of the CEU Alumni Scholarship.
In his own words:
I graduated from Istanbul Sehir University with a BA in International Trade and Management. I have worked, studied and volunteered in the U.S., Turkey, Germany, Qatar, Hungary and Yemen.
As a teen I participated in the YES program, funded by the U.S. State Department, to foster greater understanding between America and the Mideast. In Yemen, I worked to assist the underprivileged, and also taught English. In Turkey, I focused on peace and education advocacy, and later worked on Qatar Foundation’s WISE Learner Program in favor of innovative education.
In 2012 I was the youngest speaker at Yemen’s first TEDx event, where I challenged traditional educational concepts and called for a democratic school environment encouraging creative thinking.
At CEU, I will explore new ways to contribute to future generations, thanks to the generous support of the alumni donors. Thank you!
