Celeste Koppe (POLS ’19, USA)

Hailing from a small town in Minnesota, Celeste graduated from Carleton College with a degree in history and a certificate in Arabic language. In recent years she’s studied and worked in Morocco and Tunisia. “I believe that the academic environment of CEU is the best place for me to unpack and reflect upon my experiences,” she said.

What’s one thing people should know about you?

I'm passionate about education and love meeting new people. I intend to combine these interests to connect people beyond difference in hopes of building stronger communities.

Why study political science?

Because politics are the basis of any society; I'm eager to learn about stronger foundations that improve social issues.

What do you want to gain at CEU?

A unique understanding of global issues from the diversity of voices surrounding me daily in classrooms at CEU.
