Jorge Antonio Chavez Mazuelos (IR ’19, Peru)

Jorge has served as Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation´s Youth Forum, a mentor with the Youth Ambassadors Program with South America and a consultant with the Peruvian government. During his term as International Relations Coordinator at a Peruvian university, he founded USIL Ambassadors, Peru´s biggest international university club. He has participated in programs led by UNESCO, UNAOC, APEC, the Community of Democracies and foreign governments.

What’s your goal in life?

I’m a big believer that the art of living is about the joy of giving, therefore my goal is to build bridges and serve people. I look forward developing international cooperation projects and serving my country as an elected official.

So why study International Relations?

Because I’m passionate about politics, history, diplomacy, foreign cultures and about building bridges of opportunity between people, organizations and states.

What do you wish to gain at CEU?

I look forward deepening my knowledge, developing lasting friendships and serving CEU´s community. I believe this experience will heighten the impact I’m eager to have in the world.
