Mridul Pareek (ENVS' 19/MESP, India)
Hailing from the ‘pink city’ of Jaipur, Mridul recently graduated as a chemical engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. Mridul has worked as a teacher for young adults, a researcher at a cement industry, travel ambassador for a domestic airlines and an independent researcher helping farmers.
What’s your life’s goal?
Largely drawing from my experience in working with clean cook stove technology and water treatment laboratories, [it’s] ensure clean air and water to all living beings.
Why study Environmental Sciences at CEU?
I’ve always enjoyed working in the field and laboratory. However, my work experience has made me realize that environmental issues cannot be resolved in a laboratory but by acknowledging the associated societal and cultural influences. This course dovetails perfectly with my future endeavors.
What do you want out of the CEU experience?
The curriculum and [scholarship] commitment demands a person who is passionate to deal with a wide spectrum of responsibilities. II believe that such an approach will provide me a strong foundation and maturity to work toward my goals.
