Alumni Scholarship Year in Review: Aline
Aline Yacoubian (SPP ’19, Syria) studied at CEU this year, thanks to supporters of the CEU Alumni Scholarship. We caught up with her to see how her year went.
What was your highlight of the year?
If I have to choose one, it was the friendships I’ve made. I’ve met a lot of great people that I think I would not have met elsewhere. Very diverse, and I made some friendships I feel will last forever. I was very grateful for this experience.
What will you miss the most?
I’m going to miss everything about CEU and, shockingly enough, the library where I spent most of my time. I’m going to miss being in Budapest, being surrounded by these people, the events, the opportunities. It was such a fun, chaotic but fun, year and I don’t know how it passed but I’m going to miss all of it.
What’s next for Aline?
This is the scariest question! (laughs) I’ve applied for several jobs and I’m waiting for a response. I’m waiting to hear back from the places I’ve applied and hopefully will have a job in the field of development, which is what I want.
Congratulations Aline and THANK YOU donors for empowering her success! Want to help support talented students like her? Make your gift to the Alumni Campaign today!
