Alumni Scholarship Year in Review: Jorge
Jorge Antonio Chavez Mazuelos (IR ’19, Peru) studied at CEU this year thanks to supporters of the CEU Alumni Scholarship. We caught up with him to see how his year went.
What was the highlight of your year?
I think beyond the academic experience; the highlight was the opportunity to communicate with students from our community. To serve as emcee at events, to do a bit of public speaking. That is something I enjoyed because I could realize how I could address a very diverse and dynamic community and that they enjoyed the work I was doing. That was really fulfilling and gave me a lot of energy.
What will you miss most about CEU?
I think I am going to miss everything. In terms of a place it would probably be this rooftop and the library. But other than that, the spirit of diversity of having people from all over the world in the classroom, at the RC, and every place where CEU is represented. That harmonic mix of cultures and peoples and good vibes and that is what I’m going to miss.
What’s next for you?
From now on looking for a job, either working for the government or I would like to teach. Professional challenges are on the top of my list from now on.
Congratulations Jorge and THANK YOU donors for empowering his success! Want to help support talented students like him? Make your gift to the Alumni Campaign today!
