
Sophie is from Germany. Prior to CEU she studied Geography and Business Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich and the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, which she graduated from as best of class. She has interned in the field of sustainability management for Siemens AG and in strategic consulting and for the past half year interned at the German Agency for International Cooperation on international climate policies in the transport sector. She also founded a green start-up that produces organic fertilizer from algae in the Dominican Republic.
What is your goal in life?
To become an agent of change at the nexus of environmental policy and sustainable business driving forward circular and zero-carbon economies.
Why did you choose your particular course at CEU?
I chose the MESPOM program because learning from the expertise of three different universities throughout my program will help me to develop a truly global perspective on environmental problems and their solutions in policy and business.
What do you hope to gain from your time at CEU?
A unique professional profile for my future career. Being immersed in CEU’s international and diverse community will also help me to grow as a person and provide long-lasting friendships.
