In 2021, Shabnam completed her bachelor's in Philosophy from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. At CEU, she will pursue a 2-year Philosophy MA.
What is the one most important thing people should know about you?
I really wish to find ways to make education and design more inclusive and interdisciplinary. Also, I’m super interested in making Venn diagrams out of daily conversations and analyzing behavior in group settings! Especially when they make me conscious of my biases and prejudices constantly challenging me to learn and unlearn.
Why did you choose your course of study?
I believe that studying Philosophy at CEU will provide me with a space for a multidisciplinary understanding of the intersections of mind, language, knowledge, ethics, and more. This will assist me in charting some creative overlaps and honing my research/writing abilities, while helping me ask better questions both personally and academically.
What do you hope to gain from your time at CEU?
I’m looking forward to meeting people from diverse backgrounds, learning from their multiple ways of thinking, and developing meaningful relationships. Hopefully, I will have discovered some new things about myself and my place in the world by the time I leave!
