Vitaly Silitsky Belarusian Alumni Scholarship

Established in 2011 and named in honor of the late Belarusian scholar Vitali Silitski (POLS '94), this scholarship is open to eligible students from Belarus. The alumni founders of this scholarship believe that Vitali's memory will serve as an example to future Belarusian students, whose CEU experience will be an important personal and professional milestone. The award helps to cover the costs of living in Budapest and Vienna and amounts to 2,000 euro per recipient per academic year.

The scholarship is open to first-year Belarusian students in financial need with a record of community service and the potential to advance strong CEU alumni groups after graduation, around the world. Five Belarusian students so far have studied at CEU with this scholarship. Meet one of them - Svetlana Poleschuk.
