Rebecca Mann (SPP / Mundus MAPP Global Public Policy '19, USA)

October 5, 2017

Rebecca is studying at CEU this year, thanks to the CEU Alumni Scholarship.

In her own words:

Since receiving my BA in International Studies I’ve worked with children from generational poverty and students of sustainable agriculture in Texas.

I’ve organized to help food insecure Texans; taught best practices to others in my field; and dialogued with individuals on lifestyle issues like consumerism and its costs to populations living below the poverty line.

The consistent frustration in my work is the lack of societal engagement to solve problems of poverty like hunger, violence, lack of education and poor health. Thus I decided to delve into the same work on a larger scale through public policy.

I hope to pursue a career in corporate responsibility. Study at CEU will allow me to become more familiar with policy formation so that I can investigate better policies for our global community.

I’m honored to receive the Alumni Scholarship and grateful for the opportunity to engage further in my field. Thank you, donors!
