Sahar is studying at CEU this year, thanks to the CEU Alumni Scholarship.
In her own words:
I’ve spent the last few years in research and development, studying substructures and addressing the need for inclusion through policy development.
Having worked in Pakistan, and for a three-month period in Sudan, I have a keen interest in and understanding of the distinctive traits and requirements of post-colonial states in the Global South. My research focuses on labor law reform, particularly on market barriers for and the livelihood freedoms of street vendors and artisans in South Asia.
The School of Public Policy MPA program will allow me to adopt a more practice-oriented approach to policy design. This degree will help me achieve my goals of developing viable models for the growth and market support of local business, and the formalization of emergent informal local markets in South and South-east Asia. Thank you to the CEU alumni donors for making this experience possible!
