On September 8th, the Slovak Alumni chapter met in Bratislava in order to gather together after the summer vacation and celebrate the 20th anniversary of CEU. Moreover, we invited Zuzana Kepplova, CEU alumna (GENS ’07), to talk about her newly launched book BUCHTY SVABACHOM and read parts of it. The book explores experiences that we all share from our studies abroad and from living in a foreign country in general.
It was a very pleasant evening, Zuska read parts of her book in an intimate atmosphere of one of Bratislava's bistros. Afterwards we discussed our impressions from the book and our memories from CEU and Budapest.
Last but not the least, we have organized raffle with special prizes, some kindly donated by our alumni and others by the university. Almost all alumni, who were present at the event, purchased raffle tickets and in this way supported the annual giving campaign by raising funds for student scholarships.
