Simply Speed Networking  on Thursday, November 10, 2011 was the first and biggest CEU networking event of its kind to-date. Over 100 alumni, representing nearly 50 companies and organizations, joined us for an evening of personal and professional networking with their fellow graduates, faculty, staff, students, friends and employers. For the first time ever, Simply Networking also featured a speed networking game, created by our friends from the CEU Alumni Chapter in Budapest.

Organized by the CEU Alumni Relations & Career Services team, with the help of the CEU Alumni Chapter in Budapest, Simply Speed Networking made for another fantastic evening, combining business and pleasure, at CEU Nador 13. Special guests of the event were CEU Business School Dean Mel Horwitch and Professor Zoltan Buzady, who spoke about the value of professional networking, shared some time-tried strategies of making and maintaining personal connections and gave a brief talk on his research case, which recently won first prize in the 17th CEEMAN case-writing competition.

The CEU Alumni & Careers team would like to thank all CEU alumni and friends who were able to be there! It was wonderful to have you and we look forward to welcoming you to the next Simply Networking, to be announced on the Alumni Events page soon.

Special thanks to CEU alumnae from the Budapest Alumni Chapter, Aigi Kurmangazina (BUSI '11), Anya Kurdyukova (MATH '10) and Stela Artemi (IRES '09) for organizing our first-ever speed-networking game; this year's extraordinary Alumni Scholarship Recipients, Ainura Samsaly-Kyzy, Martyna Panczak and Veronika Korcekova; as well as Bowen Gu, Kristina Grbich and Svitlana Shymko (GENS '11) for lending us their time, talent and creative vision to help make this event a success!
