Over 40 alumni and friends joined CEU President and Rector John Shattuck at the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, Poland on May 30, 2012. This reunion was a great opportunity for alumni in the city to reconnect with old friends and network with CEU's local partners and contacts, as well as to make a lasting contribution to their Alma Mater.
Significantly, a number of guests made generous donations and pledges (amounting to nearly 1,000 USD) to the 2012 CEU Alumni Campaign at the event, placing Poland in the top 10 most philanthropically active CEU alumni chapters in the world. In addition to keynote speeches by the CEU President and Director of Alumni & Corporate Relations Serge Sych (IRES '97, LEGS '99), an open-floor talk about what was new in the lives of alumni in Warsaw and having an overall wonderful time, the event also featured an exclusive screening of ceu20 (short version), CEU's 20th anniversary film produced by award-winning filmmaker Peter Almond.
