The Belarusian chapter of CEU Alumni & Friends celebrated its tenth anniversary during a December 27th reunion in Minsk.
Held at a local café, the meeting was opened by chapter leader Siarhei Salei, who spoke of the chapter’s history and activities. Special guest was Kananovich Uladzimir (MEDS ’96), who shared his experience of being one of CEU’s Belarusian first students. The group also welcomed its newest member, Katerina Shelkovich.
Attendees raised 100 Euro for donation to the CEU Alumni Campaign, and also agreed to donate their reimbursement, approximately 100 Euro, to the Vitali Silitski Scholarship Fund.
Attendees also received a special edition of the group’s latest newsletter and discussed topics such as the upcoming CEU Alumni Leadership Forum, as well as establishing contact with the new Hungarian ambassador in Minsk.
