The Bulgarian chapter of CEU Alumni and Friends saw a boost in the number alumni joining its Facebook group last month, bringing its total membership to 110.
The increase came in advance of the group’s reunion in Sofia, on Dec. 27, 2012. The event drew 35 alumni to the Betahaus 'co-working space' and café.
In addition to reconnecting with fellow alumni, the group heard two presentations by alumnus Evgeni Evgeniev on national and cultural innovation in Bulgaria.
Evgeni said the group may soon meet again, as several alumni were unable to attend the Dec. 27th reunion. Approximately 90 percent of those who joined last month's event are based in Sofia.
