CEU's global alumni network keeps growing!
In August, alumni living in the Big Apple got together to form CEU's newest alumni chapter, CEU Alumni & Friends in New York City.
The group's inaugural event took place on Aug. 24, at Brooklyn Bridge park for kayaking in the East River and a picnic. The second event, on Sept. 6, drew alumni to a Midtown cafe for a lively, hours-long reunion. On Sept. 25 they met again, this time at a Downtown pub.
All CEU alumni in the NYC are encouraged to join and get involved. Upcoming events include:
- Tues Oct. 22. 5-8 p.m. Alumni will meet in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at the OTB bar and restaurant. Located at 141 Broadway, the OTB is owned by CEU alumnus Mix Fishko (DPP '07).RSVP Cristina by Oct. 18.
- Fri Oct. 25, 8-10 p.m. Alumni are invited to "Dance Diplomacy - Stories from the Trenches. Journeys from a Dance Studio in New York to the Congo and Beyond" at the 92nd Street Y (Lexington & 92nd). CEU alumna Elena Ryabova (POLS '02) coordinated this panel discussion on the role dance plays in bridging communities torn by conflict. $15. RSVP Cristina.
