CEU alumni can be found all across the globe. And like most people, they enjoy a good holiday bash.
In December (and January!) alumni chapters on three continents got together to celebrate the holidays with their fellow alumni and friends. Gatherings were held in Bratislava, Prague, New York, Florence,. Yerevan and Bishkek. (The latter hosting CEU Professor Matteo Fumagalli, who was visiting Kyrgyzstan at the time.)
These events drew approximately 100 alumni. The newly formed American and Italian groups drew approximately 30 and 10 alumni, respectively, to their premier holiday events. Parties were held in local pubs, restaurants, Christmas markets or community centers.
Organized by CEU alumni leaders, events such as these are great examples of CEU community in action. Many thanks to all those who participated. Happy New Year and we'll see you in 2014!
