This year CEU alumni from Belarus are launching the third round of the Vitali Silitski Supplementary Annual Scholarship, named in honor of the late CEU alumnus.

Campaign organizers seek to raise $2,000 in supplementary funds for a student from Belarus. Contributions of $10, $20, $50 or more are being sought for the next Silitski scholar, who will be required to complete at least 30 hours of research or a campus activity designed to connect Belarusian students and Belarusian scholarship, CSOs and causes.

The scholarship was established in 2011 after the death of Silitski (POLS '94), an outstanding scholar and, from 2007 to 2011, director of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, a leading think-tank on Belarusian affairs.
