Lida is from Armenia. She is studying at CEU thanks to the Alumni Scholarship, next|generation.

In her own words:

I graduated from Yerevan State University in 2013 with a BA in Social Work. I was involved with a number of Human Rights organizations in Armenia.

During my last year of studies I began working with women and dealing with gender issues. I couldn’t imagine my life without women’s rights and activism—empowering women, raising awareness and dealing with domestic violence issues. However, at some point I realized the importance of a graduate education in Human Rights and to apply new knowledge and skills to my work.

I chose CEU as I am convinced it is the best place study Human Rights in so diverse an atmosphere. I am very grateful to the Alumni Donors for the opportunity to study here, to increase involvement in student activities and to later become a CEU ambassador in Armenia.
