What's new with CEU alumni, you ask?

That’s what the CEU alumni chapter in Croatia wanted to find out, and thus launched its first-ever “Alumni Talks” series this month.

The concept is simple: give alumni a forum to discuss issues of importance to them - their work, research, business ideas, etc. - and the general audience. Film. Share. Repeat.

The first session took place on Friday, Dec. 12 at Zagreb’s Dag Hammarskjöld University College of International Relations and Diplomacy. Speakers included Emil Vargovic (POLS ’12), Sanja Kolaric (GENS ‘07), Marko Zubak (HIST MA ’04, PhD ’13) and Anna Franceschi (DPP ’14).

Topics ranged from economic development and career advancement to the history of disco culture in Socialist Yugoslavia. Recorded in English, the talks will soon be made available on social media. See pics here

Organizers say they seek to showcase their unique, multitalented alumni chapter. In so doing, they hope to inspire other chapters to do likewise—and to stay engaged with the University and its global community.

The chapter's next Alumni Talks session is slated for June. Follow them on Facebook
