CEU alumni in Croatia are talking.

On Friday, June 12 more than 20 CEU grads, friends and prospective students met in Zagreb for the second installment of the CEU Alumni Talks initiative. (See photos.)

Returning to Dag Hammarskold University, the session featured four alumni speakers. Davor Babic (LEGS ’99) spoke of arbitration law in the CEE region; Đorđe Gardašević (LEGS ’00) discussed constitutional court and referendum in Croatia; Tomislav Leko (IRES ’14) talked teamwork and active individuals; and Mario Munta (DPP ’14) discussed opinions and public policy. (Full program below.)

Opening and closing comments were delivered by Emil Vargovic (POLS ’12). Talks were filmed by Davor Zilic and photographed by Dalibor Drakula. Afterwards, alumni and prospective CEU students met for drinks and talk at a local pub.

Inspired by the internationally-acclaimed TED conferences, CEU Alumni Talks was established to provide a forum for alumni to discuss issues of importance and to showcase the varied expertise of CEU grads.

Organizers say they hope inspire other alumni chapters to launch their own ‘talk’ programs, and to stay involved with their university. Special thanks to alumna Dijana Eraković (POLS '10) for organizing this great initiative.
