CEU Alumnus Lesay New Slovak State Finance Secretary

CEU alumnus Ivan Lesay (POLS ’06) was recently appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. He replaces Vazila Hudak, who became the country’s economic minister.

Ivan is former advisor to Slovak Minister of Finance Peter Kazimir, who recommended him for his current post.

Ivan also holds a PhD in Economics from the Slovak Academy of Sciences. He has published extensively on economics, and also co-initiated the establishment of the Slovak Investment Holding.
