Big thanks to the more than 130 CEU alumni and friends who came together this summer to welcome newly-accepted students to our community.
From July to August, alumni hosted a record-number of 30 Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) sessions for more than 100 newly-accepted students from around the world.
Organized by CEU alumni and Local Area Coordinators (LAC), PDOs are unofficial orientation sessions for students before they leave their home countries for CEU.
PDOs are typically social events, held in pubs or cafes; others are two-part events with information and Q&A sessions followed by social hour. They provide new and prospective students a taste of CEU from alumni, who share their experiences and expertise. PDOs also allow alumni to reunite with classmates and for newly graduate alumni to meet with their local chapters.
Thirty chapters hosted events this year, with the largest taking place in Yerevan; Washington D.C.; Kyiv and Belgrade among others. See pics below.
