Fact: alumni are the best asset new students have in preparing for life at CEU. And with Academic Year 2016-17 only two months away, alumni around the world are coming together to help new students do just that.
This summer, several CEU alumni chapters worldwide, in collaboration with Local Area Coordinators, are hosting special Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) sessions for newly-accepted students. (See event list below.)
The idea behind the PDO sessions is simple: they bring together local alumni and new students preparing to leave for Budapest, allowing the latter to ask questions and seek advice about study at CEU and life in the Hungarian capital from those who have lived it - alumni.
Many PDOs also include a social hour at local cafes or pubs. In all, it’s a great way for alumni to meet and assist CEU’s next graduating class – their future fellow alumni – and to meet with old friends and classmates.
All alumni are welcome to participate - and are also encouraged post event photos on local chapter Facebook groups. Spread the word!
