CEU Alumni Program Among Europe's Top Five

October 13, 2016

The CEU Alumni community is among the best in Europe - and we have the proof!

CEU’s Alumni Relations program has earned top marks in the latest industry polls—thanks to its highly-engaged global alumni community.

For the fifth time, CEU was ranked among the top five alumni programs in Europe by this year’s international alumni relations survey of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The survey, which included top universities, scored CEU second place for volunteer engagement, third for event participation and fourth for alumni giving, as measured per 10,000 contactable alumni. That's outstanding!

The honors don’t stop there: Last month, Serge Sych (IRES ’97, LEGS ’99), CEU VP for Enrollment, Recruitment and Alumni Relations, took home the European Association for International Education’s (EAIE) Bo Gregerson Award, for pioneering an integrated alumni relations model in Europe.

Serge, who also serves on the EAIE General Council and CASE Board of Trustees, said all credit is due to CEU alumni themselves: everyone who has attended CEU events, volunteered their time, helped recruit new students or supported the Alumni Campaign.

“This is much their honor as ours,” he said.

To celebrate and to further increase participation, Serge pledged to donate all $1,000 of his Gregerson Award money to establish a matching gift for the Alumni Campaign, details to be released soon.

In a recent video message, taped outside CEU’s new campus alongside the newly-revamped Alumni Relations and Career Services team, Serge thanked alumni for all they’ve done and “for being part of our journey.”
