More CEU alumni than ever before welcomed new students to our community this summer.
Alumni hosted a record-breaking 39 Pre-Departure Orientations around the world for new students preparing to leave for Budapest. That’s nine more than last summer, and sixteen more than in 2014!
This year’s PDOs drew nearly 300 students and alumni, on five continents. While attendance was strong in central and southeastern Europe, this year’s largest events were in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. (Photos below)
Co-sponsored by CEU’s alumni relations and recruitment teams, PDOs include information and Q&A sessions and are often held in cafes or pubs. They allow new students to learn about CEU life and interact with the community before arriving to campus, and alumni to meet students and socialize with classmates.
