Alumni ‘Words of Wisdom’ for CEU Grads

June 13, 2017

CEU alumnus Dr. Uchenna Emelonye (LEGS ’04) has some words of advice for this year’s graduating class.

The country representative for Uganda at the United Nation’s Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and CEU Alumni Impact Award winner will speak at the 2017 Commencement ceremony, on June 23.

His remarks reflect upon the challenges faced by all in CEU’s international student body, and the value of this community’s Open Society ideals, before ending with a challenge:

“Go make your mark in the world.”

Now, the Alumni Relations team asks: What would YOU advise the members of CEU’s 26th graduating class? Take a minute to TELL US and we’ll share your words of wisdom with graduates on commencement day!

CEU’s 26th graduation starts at 11 a.m., June 23 at Budapest’s Palace of Arts (MUPA) and will be the first with President and Rector Michael Ignatieff. Highlights will include awarding of the CEU Open Society Prize to former German President Joachim Gauck.
