What a party!

Hundreds of CEU students and alumni packed the university’s rooftop for the academic year’s first Rooftop Chillout party, on Friday, September 13.

The party featured drinks, live music, interactive games and more on a spectacular end-of-summer evening. Music included live performances from students and alumni as well as a world music DJ set. (More pics below.)

While mostly a mixer for students fresh from their first week of classes, dozens of local alumni also attended and mingled with this year’s diverse and skilled class.

Organized by the Alumni Relations offices, the party is part of efforts to identify and engage students as ‘Alumni from Day One’ and welcome them to the community. It included an interactive ‘personality bingo’, for students to learn more alumni attending the party. Students were provided clues about alumni, furnished when the later registered for the event, and tasked to match them to attendees.

Clues included: “I am a yoga teacher”, “I helped start and urban High School for Native Americans”; “I spent one month in Sudan” and “I hate icebreakers”, among others.

The event followed the launch of the CEU Alumni Lounge, held earlier in the evening in the former Library at Nador u. 9.

Thanks to everyone for your great vibes and the great event!
