Dragana holds a bachelor degree in Communications and Public Relations from the International Balkan University in Skopje. Her research focused on the intersection between media, ethnicity and education in (ethnically) divided society. To expand her research she enrolled and graduated from the Department of Nationalism Studies at CEU in 2018. She has also worked on a research related with nation building, transnationalism and diaspora. After her graduation from CEU, Dragana has returned to North Macedonia and has been working in the NGO sector, currently with the Macedonian Civic Education Center (MCEC) on different projects related to improving interethnic integration in the educational system, civic education, minority rights, youth work, etc.

Why does she volunteer for CEU?

I have always thought of CEU of more than just an Academia. My two-year “engagement” with CEU has been such a transformative, or to be more precise – life changing – experience. Volunteering is like giving back to the community and, of course, staying in touch!
