CEU Alumna Kurnasova Passes

We are saddened to report the passing of alumna Zuzana Kurnasova's (IRES '10) in January. Her department wrote: "Prior to returning to Slovakia, Zuzana was a bright and enthusiastic student in our Masters program."  The CEU Alumni Relations team offers its sincerest condolences to Zuzana's loved ones. 

CEU Alumnus György Passes

We are saddened to report that alumnus Ádám György (ECON MA '13, BUSI MBA '15) died in a paragliding accident in Slovenia on December 19. He was 28 years old.

After obtaining his MA from the Department of Economics, in 2013, and his MBA from the CEU Business School, in 2015, Ádám worked as Business Director of the Dentsu Aegis Network. People close to Adam recalled him as a cheerful, dynamic and fearless person. Our deepest condolences to Ádám's family and friends.

Alumna Karpova receives Marie Curie Fellowship

CEU alumna and visiting faculty member Yulia Karpova (HIST, MA '09, PhD '15) was recently awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship. The host institution is the School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University.

CEU Alumna Voytenko Wins SEK 3 Million Research Grant

CEU alumna Yuliya Voytenko (ENVS PhD '07) was recently granted 3 million Swedish Kronor (SEK) from The Swedish Research Council Formas for three-year research project, entitled 'Sharing and the City (20016-18).'
