Former CEU Trustee Richard Blum passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age 86.

A longtime friend and supporter of CEU, Mr. Blum generously sponsored two alumni matching gift campaigns, in 2013 and 2015. These campaigns spurred alumni around the world to get involved and help raise tens of thousands of dollars in support the future of their alma mater.

Our sincere thanks to Mr. Blum and deepest condolences to Mr. Blum’s family. See full story.

Several had recently arrived in Budapest, families in tow, after fleeing their homes. Some were now living in the dorm.

“I never thought I would be coming back to Kerepesi like this,” one said.
