Findlay Glynn (LLM '18, Scotland)

October 5, 2017

Findlay is studying at CEU this year, thanks to the CEU Alumni Scholarship.

In his own words:

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Law. In Glasgow I developed a passion for Human Rights. I participated in the European Human Rights Project, and presented mock legal cases before the UK Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights. I hope to develop this knowledge further at CEU, where I’ll undertake an LLM in Human Rights.

I believe that education should be available to all. I have worked towards this goal through employment with the University of Glasgow and the Council of Europe. There, I worked to encourage pupils from disadvantaged areas to apply to University, and to promote Human Rights education to students from Belarus. I hope to contribute to CEU’s mission to promote education through economic and international diversity.

I’m honoured to be an alumni scholarship recipient, and I wish to thank all alumni donors for supporting me.

Check our Findlay's blog entry on his research trip to the European University Institute in Florence - A (Study) Room with a View - which was beneficial for his thesis research and CEU experience.
