It was a big year – and a very strong close – for CEU Alumni Campaign 2019.
More than 630 alumni from around the world contributed to the campaign, raising more than $150,000 in support of CEU’s future (see full stats below). The campaign closed on a high note with the #ThankYouCEU Alumni Challenge during which alumni raised more than $107,000.
The end-of-year fundraising challenge was issued by CEU President and Rector Michael Ignatieff, who donated $75,000 in establishing a Presidential Scholars fund.
The #ThankYouCEU challenge exceeded its $100,000 goal and was accompanied by a number of related alumni meetups, drawing hundreds of alumni around the world.
Despite the buzzing end-of-year campaign the 2019 Alumni Campaign saw a drop in participation – a decrease in both donors and first-time donors – but an increase in average donation amounts and the total raised.
See below for full stats breakdown.
February will see the launch of the CEU2020 Alumni Campaign, which will address the new decade by offering new ways to support the university. See details.
HUGE THANKS to all donors!
