CEU Phonathon 2014 coming soon!

Pick up the phone - it's CEU!

Starting on Feb. 10, the Alumni Relations office will launch this year's calling campaign, CEU Phonathon 2014. ARCS has assembled a great team of student callers, including some of this year's Alumni Scholarship Recipients, to reach out to CEU alumni living and working all over the world.

The CEU Alumni Campaign concluded in December after alumni donors raised $513,446 in support of CEU - more than $13,000 beyond our goal. Thank you, donors! The closure of the Alumni Campaign is an unprecedented success for this university and one unmatched by any other in continental Europe. Congratulations to everyone who made it possible!

Major alumni donors meet with Soros, scholarship recipients

CEU history was made again last Wednesday as the university’s Founder and Honorary Chairman George Soros met with several major donors to the Alumni Campaign.

Mr. Soros was visiting the campus for the launch of the Hungarian edition of his book The Soros Lectures: George Soros at Central European University.

Afterwards he spoke privately with the alumni donors and thanked them for supporting the campaign, now in its final weeks. It was the first time he had met with them as a group.

Trustee Blum promotes 'partnership' as Alumni Campaign nears deadline

The CEU Alumni Campaign has less than five weeks to finish raising $500,000. Thanks to the response of alumni around the world we're closer than ever to reaching our goal - but we're not there yet.

The campaign received a great boost earlier this year from CEU Board of Trustees member Richard Blum, who pledged a dollar-for-dollar match for alumni contributions up to $50,000.

What a boost! CEU Board of Trustees member Richard Blum has pledged $50,000 in matching gifts to CEU's Alumni Campaign. 

Blum, who joined the board last summer, announced his matching gift as a challenge to CEU alumni and students to support the university via the campaign, now approaching its final weeks. Blum pledged to match alumni gifts on a dollar-for-dollar basis to the $50,000 limit.
