Alumna Domínguez Chairs Monterrey Law School

CEU alumna Gloria Domínguez (IBL LLM ’12, Mexico) was appointed Department Chair of the Law School at the School of Social Science and Government of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Puebla Campus, in October 2020. 

As Department Chair she oversees academic plans for a unit of more than 100 students. Additional duties include event organization, coaching students international Moot Court competitions, teaching courses on Law and Private International Law, among other tasks. 

Alumnus Dimitrovski Appointed Deputy Minister

CEU alumnus Zoran Dimitrovski (POLS ‘95, North Macedonia) was recently appointed Deputy Minister for Local Self-Government in North Macedonia.

Zoran has had a long and distinguished career, starting as a TV and print journalist in the late 1980s and afterward as journalist, editor and editor-in -chief of various publications and a lecturer. In early 2020 he was elected Secretary General of the Democratic Union.

Alumna Ioniță Named Director of Human Resources, Lidl Romania

CEU alumna Mihaela Ioniță (BUSI ’09, Romania) is the new National Director of Human Resources for Lidl Romania and a member of the supermarket chain’s Board of Directors.

Alumnus Taleski Named NATO Ambassador

CEU alumnus Dane Taleski (POLS '15) has been named Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of North Macedonia to NATO.

Ambassador Taleski presented his credentials to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg last month, January 18, 2021. He is the first Permanent Representative of the Republic of North Macedonia, after it became the 30th member of the alliance in March 2020.

UPDATE: CEU Campus Access

The CEU Senate has moved all CEU classes, in Vienna and Budapest, online until the end of the semester, December 18. Both campuses remain open for essential personnel.

Alumni can continue to research, collect and return library books, use photocopiers and scanners at the Budapest campus. All must adhere to C-19 protocols at all times: wear masks, wash hands and keep apart. No congregating in front of the university is allowed.
