CEU Happy Hour in D.C. Bigger than Ever

This year’s CEU Alumni Happy Hour in Washington D.C. was bigger than ever!

Nearly 40 alumni and friends from the D.C. area came together on Friday, March 17 for the lively annual gathering, this time at the Mission Restaurant in the capitol’s DuPont Circle neighborhood (See photos below!)

Hosted by Serge Sych (IRES '97, LEGS '99), CEU's Vice President for Enrollment, Careers and Alumni Relations visiting from Budapest, the event was a great opportunity for old friends and classmates to reconnect.

CEU Launches 'Impact' Alumni Campaign

In February the CEU Alumni Relations team premiered a brand new campaign to secure its future while celebrating the impact its alumni are making worldwide.

The CEUimpact Alumni Campaign allows graduates to help their alma mater achieve critical financial sustainability, enabling it to continue its important work in challenging times (see details). 

Alumni Raise More Than $1 Million for CEU

The results are in, history's been made – and CEU alumni have outdone themselves!

Alumni donors successfully closed CEU's Alumni Campaign last month by contributing $35,000 in excess of the campaign's $1 million goal. SEE FINAL STATS.

Alumnus Kounalakis Earns Second Presidential Appointment

CEU alumnus Markos Kounalakis (IRES PhD, ’16) was recently appointed by President Barack Obama to the William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. This is his second presidential appointment in recent months.
