CEU alumna Barbara Tonte (IRES '08) recently co-founded the Romani Gastro Blog to help document this hearty but under-documented regional cuisine. It's harder than one might think.
"In Roma gastronomy there are no written sources, there is hardly a recipe book," she recently told the Index.hu online newspaper. Barbara graduated from the CEU Department of International Relations and European Studies in 2008. In 2010 she became an associate of the Roma Education Fund.
