It was a chance to celebrate and say thank you.
As part of its 25th Anniversary reunion, CEU hosted its first-ever President’s Dinner on Saturday, May 7 the Budapest’s Marriott, to honor those alumni who have distinguished themselves and their University. (See photos and video.)
Hosted by outgoing President and Rector John Shattuck, the event drew approximately 60 guests including CEU school and department heads, members of CEU Loyalty and Milestone Societies, plus 15 recipients of the Alumni Impact Award.
The award was issued to 25 alumni whose outstanding career achievements and contributions to the University have bolstered CEU's presitge and mission.The Loyalty and Milestone Societies were established last year to recognize those alumni who have made regular and substantial financial support to CEU.
President Shattuck spoke of the advances made by CEU and praised those award winners for their professional achievements, while also thanking the Donor Society members for their ongoing support of the university. Fifteen alumni were presented their Alumni Impact Awards. See video (awards ceremony starts at 9:15).
