CEU alumna Ketevan Tsikhelashvili (IRES ’00) was recently tapped as Georgia’s new Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality.
Ketevan, 37, previously served as the State Ministry for Reconciliation and Civil Equality’s First Deputy Minister. Her experience includes work with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, plus other international and research institutions.
Ketevan is a Ph.D aspirant in Philosophy and Social Sciences at Tbilisi’s Ilia State University, where she is also a lecturer of European Studies.
Prior to serving as a Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, Ketevan served as an elected chairwoman of the largest NGO association of Georgia, Eastern Partnership Forum Georgian National Platform. She has also been actively involved in different international dialogue formats with Abkhaz and Ossetians, and has chaired the second working group of the Genevan International Discussions for nearly four years.
Prior to obtaining her IRES MA from CEU, in 2000, Ketevan earned her BA in international relations from Tbilisi State University. More.
