Mohini is CEU's Alumni Chapter Leader in India.
Currently working as an Academic Writing Tutor at Ashoka University, Mohini graduated from CEU in 2018 with an MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology. She also holds an MA in Social Work and has been a development professional working in the areas of non-formal education, gender and communication. Mohini identifies herself as a storyteller who “converses through the language of food”. She is a firm believer in the concept of praxis, and feels that the optimal use of learning lies in its effective implementation.
Why volunteer for CEU?
As an Alumni Scholarship Recipient, she learned the precious lessons of inclusive intervention as she participated in the various community based philanthropic activities and started the ‘Kosczi CEU Staff’ campaign to acknowledge the efforts of the non-academic staff of the university.
I believe that education is political in nature, and there’s no better way to give back to one’s educational institution than standing up for its values and principles. Bringing together the diverse group of alumni from India in a close-knit community is an attempt towards acknowledging and standing with the principles of respecting diversity and Open Society, which characterize CEU.
