Waqas is CEU’s alumni chapter leader in Lahore, Pakistan. He is currently engaged in the health and education sector reforms in Pakistan.
Waqas graduated with a master’s degree in public policy from School of Public Policy (SPP) in 2018. During his time at CEU, he was actively involved in co-curricular activities. He represented SPP at the CEU Student Union and headed the Career Services Committee. In addition, he also won the NASPAA-Batten Student Simulation Competition in Europe in 2018.
Before joining CEU, Waqas completed his bachelors in political science from Lahore University of Management Sciences (Lums), Pakistan. He has strong interest in the field of education and therefore worked for the prestigious education reforms in Pakistan.
Why does he volunteer for CEU?
The core reason to volunteer as Alumni Chapter Leader is to create a platform for active engagement of Alumni and to uphold CEU’s values of open society. The aim is to develop a very well connected and vibrant alumni community in the region through regular networking events.
