CEU Alumnus Ilir Dugolli (LEGS LLM ’01) became the Republic of Kosovo’s Ambassador to the United States in December 2021.
A career diplomat, Ilir has served previously as Kosovo’s ambassador to Turkey. He has also held ambassadorships to Jordan, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sweden, among others. From 2017 to 2019 he served as Director for NATO and Security Policies at Kosovo’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Ilir is a graduate of the CEU Department of Legal Studies’ Comparative Constitutional Law program. He is also a Yale University World Fellow.
