Nepal, Diksha Mahara (ECBS '18)

Diksha Mahara is an Economic Policy in Global Markets (EPGM 2018) alumna of CEU. She is  currently working as Programme Officer at IOD PARC in Value for Money support under Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) unit, supporting climate change and disaster resilience portfolio for DFID Nepal. As a trained economic analyst, she has a diverse work experience in the field of market studies, rural field research and economic development.

Azerbaijan, Anar Mehdiyev (ENVS '02 and '21)

After studying at CEU’s Environmental Sciences and Policy Master programme in 2001-02, Anar Mehdiyev returned to Azerbaijan and co-founded one of the most active alumni chapters. Being a long-standing CEU Chapter Leader in Baku, Azerbaijan, Anar actively promotes connectivity between alumni and alumni chapters, and is a frequent CEU Alumni Reunion visitor. CEU has also shaped Anar’s career. He is managing environmental management systems in BP-Azerbaijan, a key element of Azerbaijan’s oil industry.

India, Mohini Mehta (SOCI '18)

Mohini is CEU's Alumni Chapter Leader in India.

Currently working as an Academic Writing Tutor at Ashoka University, Mohini graduated from CEU in 2018 with an MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology. She also holds an MA in Social Work and has been a development professional working in the areas of non-formal education, gender and communication.  Mohini identifies herself as a storyteller who “converses through the language of food”.  She is a firm believer in the concept of praxis, and feels that the optimal use of learning lies in its effective implementation.

Myanmar, Htet Min Lwin (POLS '16)

Htet Min Lwin (POLS’16) is Country Representative – Myanmar for the Forum of Federations, an international organization working on federalism and devolved governance. As a student, he was actively involved in student and youth affairs. His previous activities include research in politics and socio-economic development, and as a junior member of peace negotiation dialogues (2012-2014). He received his medical degree from University of Medicine, Mandalay and a master’s degree in political science from CEU.

Bosnia & Herzegovina, Amila Kurtovic (LEGS '16)

Amila graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo and earned an LL. M degree in Comparative Constitutional Law at Central European University in 2016. Currently, she works as a Junior Researcher in Public Law and Human Rights Program at the Center for Social Research - Analitika in Sarajevo. Prior to that, she was engaged in AIESEC, the largest student run organization in the world, where she worked as a president of a local branch of AIESEC in Sarajevo in 2013/2014.
